This article, which appeared in print on June 1st, thoroughly condemns the opinion of the DC Circuit Court released on May 21 denying detainees Maqaleh, Al Bakri and Al Najar access to court.

It writes that "the appellate judges overestimated the practical difficulty of affording court access and underestimated American control in Bagram." The piece also points out the failure of the US administration to disclose vital details of Bagram detainees, "including their citizenship, the locations and circumstances of their capture, and how long they have been held."
